H.E.A.L. Healthcare Contributor Lauren Aldred Hosts Numerous Exhibitions of From Creation: Land-based Healing & Wellness

Lauren Aldred has been busy hosting numerous exhibitions and screenings of her H.E.A.L. Healthcare curriculum, From Creation: Land-based Healing & Wellness.

This curriculum shares the story of a healthcare worker of Indigenous heritage learning to live with severe mental illness resulting from an injury sustained while working in a hospital. Together with more conventional medical therapies, land-based healing and creative arts saved her life (although she still copes with significant limitations). This is a story of hope and healing that addresses mental ableism in healthcare.

πŸ“– Learning Objectives:
✨ Gain a deeper understanding of the power of land-based healing
✨ Appreciate how arts-based activities are a tool in healthcare
✨ Learn to interpret the world through the eyes and voice of someone living with PTSD
