HARC Contributor Receives a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Postdoctoral Fellow Trainee Award
The Health Arts Research Centre would like to congratulate Vanessa Sloan Morgan on their Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Postdoctoral Fellow Trainee award! Vanessa will be building from the priorities that youth identified in previous research workshops that focused on exploring what youth in rural, remote, northern, and Indigenous communities perceive as healthy communities, and how young people can inform environmentally, economically, and socially healthy futures. Sloan Morgan’s research will profile and mobilize youth perspectives on healthy lands and communities through arts-based and land-based research. Doing so will provide youth with an avenue to identify unique health priorities from their perspectives and emerging from northern BC.
