Journeys to Medical Professions: a Panel Presentation for Indigenous Peoples
The Health Arts Research Centre is hosting a panel entitled, “Journeys to Medical Professions: a Panel Presentation for Indigenous Peoples” this presentation is for Indigenous peoples of all ages who are interested in entering careers in Medicine. The panelists will share their stories about their experiences in pursuing post-secondary education and they will provide helpful information on how to enter into medical professions through post-secondary school. Panelists include Dr. Randi George (Wet’suwet’en and Metis), Undergraduate Health Sciences Student Laura McNab-Coombs (Metis), UNBC Indigenous Recruiter Shannon McKay (Metis), and Aboriginal Student Initiatives Coordinator at UBC James Andrew. This event will be hosted by Marion Erickson of the Dakelh Nation.
