Lauren Aldred Hosts Art Exhibition at Pope Mountain Arts as part of HEAL Project

This November, Lauren Aldred opened her art exhibition at the Pope Mountain Arts space in Fort St. James. This work is part of her larger contribution to the Hearts-based Education and Anti-Colonial Learning (HEAL) Project. The HEAL Project team is working with folks like Lauren to develop curriculum and learning opportunities for healthcare providers across colonial Canada to address longstanding health disparities. By drawing on her art practice,  Lauren’s curriculum will support healthcare providers to become conscious of their biases (that land on them via colonialism, LGBTQ2S+phobias, placeism, fatphobia, ableism, and more) and how to address them.

Stay tuned for more amazing contributions to the HEAL Project in 2024!
