Marion Erickson presents at Canadian Premature Babies Foundation Premie Chat

On Friday, November 15th, HARC Research Manager Marion Erickson presented at the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation Premie Chat to celebrate World Prematurity Day.

Marion’s presentation, ‘Dakelh Midwifery: Past and Present,’ covered the historical context, the impacts of colonialism on Dakelh birthing knowledge, and current research aimed at restoring traditional perinatal wellness practices through a culturally specific Doula training curriculum.
