PhD student Evan J receives SSHRC Doctoral award!

This year, Evan received a highly competitive SSHRC Doctoral Award in support of his PhD research at UNBC. He was one of only a very small number of UNBC students to be awarded SSHRC funding, a national recognition of the strength and significance of his work. The award supports his SSHRC‑funded project, Writing Wellbeing: A Critical, Anti‑Colonial, Health Humanities Analysis of Literary Fiction Responses to the Wellbeing Crisis in Northern Turtle Island, which examines how northern literature engages health inequities and imagines pathways toward more just and sustainable wellbeing futures.
