Julia MacDonald

Julia completed her MSc. in Community Health at the University of Northern British Columbia, and her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. After taking a course in Social Determinants of Health during her undergraduate studies, she became very interested in research around health inequities and how such inequities impact health. More specifically her interests lie in working cross-culturally with Indigenous populations, looking at how health systems, specifically doctor-patient relationships, impact health for Indigenous youth. Julia is very excited to have worked with HARC to further her own education and knowledge on using arts-based strategies to address health inequities in northern and First Nations communities.
