Dr Sarah de Leeuw Speaks on Podcaast, “Conversations about Arts, Humanities and Health”
We’re excited to share that HARC Research Director, Dr Sarah de Leeuw, recently joined Dr. Arya Thampuran on the latest episode of the Conversations about Arts, Humanities and Health podcast. In Episode 25, titled “Decolonizing our Practices”, co-hosts Ian Sabroe and Dieter Declercq engage with Drs de Leeuw and Thampuran in a thought-provoking conversation about reshaping practices in healthcare and community work through decolonizing frameworks.
Key themes include: decolonial practice in academic spaces (non-extractive methodologies and representational labour); capitalism and extractive contextualization; depoliticization of Indigenous knowledges and practices; feminist queer-informed anti-colonial methodologies; critical poetics; medical education; and rural, remote, northern, and marginalized geographies.
You can listen to it on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Goodpods.
